Force-on-Force Readiness

A protective strategy is a hypothesis until it's exercised. GSS designs and assesses force-on-force exercises grounded in the site's own analysis, then closes the loop on what the results show.

OPERATIONAL CONTEXT

A protective strategy is a hypothesis until it's exercised

Force-on-force exercises test detection, delay, and response under controlled, realistic mock-adversary conditions. They exist to close the loop on the analysis performed earlier — pathway and timeline analysis, response strategy development — by confirming, or challenging, what that analysis predicted.

GSS designs exercise scenarios directly from the site's own Design Basis Threat, target sets, and timeline analysis rather than from an arbitrary or convenient scenario, and assesses protective-force readiness beforehand so the exercise measures the strategy itself, not an unprepared force standing in for it.

Results are analyzed against the original timeline and response-strategy assumptions and fed back into revision — of the response strategy, of barrier validation priorities, and of the training program that produced the force being exercised.

METHODOLOGY
01Readiness AssessmentProtective force and equipment readiness evaluated before exercise design begins.
02Scenario DesignExercise scenarios developed from the site's own Design Basis Threat, target sets, and timeline analysis.
03Safety & Control PlanningExercise safety controls and umpiring protocols established before execution.
04Exercise ExecutionScenario run under controlled, monitored conditions with mock-adversary and response-force participation.
05Performance Data CollectionTimeline, engagement, and communication performance recorded through the exercise.
06After-Action AnalysisResults analyzed against the original timeline and response-strategy assumptions and fed back into revision.
