A drone over a protected area is a threat vector without an established doctrine at most sites. GSS builds the program — detection, decision logic, and response — inside the airspace you're actually allowed to control.
Detecting a drone and being allowed to do something about it are different problems
Small unmanned aircraft create a threat vector that most physical protection programs weren't originally designed around: low, slow, hard to distinguish from routine air traffic on a single sensor, and legally constrained in ways a ground-based intrusion is not. A site can have every conventional protective measure in order and still have no defined answer for what an operator is supposed to do when a drone appears over the fence line.
GSS builds counter-UAS programs from threat assessment forward, not from a hardware catalog backward. That starts with what airspace the site can lawfully assert control over, what a realistic drone-borne threat actually looks like for that site, and only then which detection and tracking technology — radar, RF sensing, geo-fencing, or a combination — closes the gap between first detection and a decision an operator can act on.
The countermeasure and escalation framework is built to stay inside FAA and applicable regulatory limits at every step, which is as much of the program as the detection hardware itself: a capability the operator can't lawfully use when it matters isn't a capability.
